Students study seven subjects from the following:
- Gaeilge
- English
- Mathematics - Mandatory except for those students who have an exemption in Gaeilge,
together with four subjects from the following list:
- History
- Geography
- French
- Spanish
- Home Economics
- Business
- Accounting
- Art
- Physics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Agricultural Science
- Engineering
- Construction Studies
- Design and Communication Graphics
- Music.
The non-examination subjects:
- Religion
- Career Guidance
- Physical Education are also taken by students.
