St. Kevin’s Community College, Dunlavin has become one of the first schools in Europe to achieve European Digital Schools Awards status.
Accepting the award today Mr. Brian Doran, Principal said “This award is recognition of the tireless work of the staff and students in St. Kevin’s Community College in the digital learning field.
“our school has been at the leading edge of developments in using digital technologies to support teaching and learning for over a decade. Both our teachers and pupils, supported by parents and the community, have worked incredibly hard to develop and embed digital learning into the curriculum. Our highly-effective response to the challenge of COVID -19 and the receipt of the European Digital Schools Award has reinforced our commitment to ensuring that our students are given every opportunity to be successful citizens in a digital society.
“We are particularly delighted to have been awarded ‘Mentor School’ status, meaning that we will get the opportunity to support schools on their digital journey. We look forward to engaging with schools locally, nationally and internationally through the European Digital Schools Award project.
